Tommy
Tommy, il figlio di un pilota della Raf morto in guerra, è cieco, sordo e muto in seguito a uno choc. Quando si riprende, diventa campione mondiale del gioco del flipper. È sfruttato dai biechi genitori adottivi e diventa una sorta di idolo mistico, ma saprà alla fine rifiutare questo ruolo fasullo.
